Judging Colour Temperature – Pt1

The intent of this exercise is to look at the difference in colour temperature at different times of the day and in different conditions.

3 images have been taken. The first in full sunlight during the middle of the day, the second in shade in the middle of the day and finally when the sun is close to the horizon later in the day. All images have been taken with the cameras white balance setting set to daylight.

Final Thought

The colour difference here is clearly different when taken towards the end of the day than when taken during the middle of the day as it shows at strong blue tint. There is also a slight blue tint in the shadow image when compared to the full sun image however, I’d say this image is the most representative of the subject.
