Outdoors At Night

The aim of this exercise is to explore the a variety of artificial lighting effect that can be found at night.

I decided to head into London to complete the exercise as there would be a wealth of opportunity to meet the objective, however, this added an unexpected time constraint of getting the images before I had to return to the train station to catch the last train home. Being aware of this, I probably start capturing images a bit to early as dusk hadn’t really settled in. Reviewing the images though, I don’t thing this was a problem as the light sources were on display a considerable amount of time before it went dark.

Final Thoughts

The images above show that it is possibly to capture interesting images at night even though there is no natural daylight, however, it can be beneficial to shoot at a time when there is still a small amount of light available. Also, in the low level light conditions, photographers can start to become more creative without having to use additional equipment such as ND filters to reduce exposure times.
